7 restaurants to score some killer seafood during Philly Restaurant Week
If you’ve ever been to R2L, you already know it has one of the most spectacular views in the whole city. Not only that, but they have some of the most refined food as well. The roasted Atlantic Salmon has a dill and horseradish sauce that is simply to die for! The consommé appetizer with Shrimp and Lobster dumplings has us wanting a million more!
Seafood Unlimited has not three, but four courses – making for a great deal to say the least. Start off with some spicy Shrimp lettuce wraps or chicken and scallion spring rolls with Oyster dipping sauce. Then make your way over to a jumbo Shrimp surf ‘n’ turf, Salmon with hoisin-ginger sauce or Bronzino with zaatar salsa verde.
Get your classic seafood fare here! Ranging from Oysters on the half shell to Clams Casino, and Clam chowder all the way to a classic Lobster roll and sautéed Flounder in a burre blanc sauce. This Philly classic is always our go-to restaurant when friends and family come to town, and when we just want to chow down on Oysters.
If you want great Italian seafood options, this Center City West BYOB is your go-to. If you’re looking for something raw, the Scallop crudo is bright and refreshing. But, we have our heart set on the Bronzino with charred artichokes and the Arrabbiata style braised Spanish Octopus tossed in hand-made fusilli.
Coming right out of the gates of a new renovation, the Palm is back in Restaurant week after a short hiatus! Their new chef is exploring simple presentations with exquisite seafood options. We’ve got our eye on a classic Caesar salad (made with real anchovy) and the Lobster Risotto Milanese.
A cornerstone Rittenhouse establishment, Devon Seafood Grill has been serving up delicious seafood delights for years and this year’s Restaurant Week menu is no exception. The premium seafood selections range from a classic Lobster bisque for an appetizer to Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (one of our favorites), roasted Salmon with bourbon maple glaze, or – get this – pan seared Scallops over lobster risotto as an entrée option. Can you say double win?!
Boasting one of the largest menus available during restaurant week, Twenty Manning has an amazing selection of seafood in both their appetizer and entrée sections. Choose from spicy Calamari, Salmon poke, fish tacos, and Mussels to Yellow Fin Tuna, Scottish Salmon, grilled Mahi Mahi and Squid Ink cresto de gallo. The selection is fresh, delicious, and sure to satisfy your craving – no matter what.
