Live Greenshell Mussels are Chilled, in a Breathable Modified Atmosphere Pack (MAP).

New Zealand Dark green Mussel shells have a unique blend of yellow, red, and brown streaks on the outer shell. The inside shell is iridescent complimenting the high meat to shell ratio. The meat for the males will have a creamy-white flesh while mature females have an apricot-orange color flesh.
Farmed and harvested sustainably from the South Island waters, Greenshell Mussels are available year-round. The whole Mussels are processed, graded, quality checked, packed live and chilled with no additives or processing aids.
New Zealand Greenshell Mussels have no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Once they are packaged, they are treated with MAP, breathable package and
placed into cold storage.
